Space Is Not SAFE Patch

The U.S. ASM-135A ASAT was an air-launched, kinetic-kill anti-satellite missile developed in the 1980s for F-15 fighters to destroy low-Earth orbit satellites. Its sole successful test in 1985 destroyed a satellite 345 miles up, making it the only U.S. air-launched system to destroy a target in space. The program was cancelled in 1988.
